SearchInform Takes Part in the Exhibition AfricaCom 2017 and the Namibia-South Africa Business Mission

On 7-9 November 2017, the representatives of SearchInform took part in the exhibition AfricaCom 2017. The event was held in Cape Town (South Africa) and gathered the leaders of the African telecommunications industry and international experts in the field of high technology.

SearchInform head of international affairs Sergei Yavchenko participated in the main program of the exhibition, as well as in the debate on information security issues as an expert from the Russian side.

SearchInform presented its developments in the field of information security at the collective stand of the Russian Federation. Throughout the exhibition, individual meetings and negotiations of Russian companies-participants with potential buyers took place.

The participation in the exhibition in South Africa demonstrated the relevance of our products to companies and government organizations in the region. Moreover, some of our technology capabilities, which we were able to demonstrate during organized presentations and meetings, were a discovery for information security specialists. As part of our visit, meetings were held with organizations such as The Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA), Old Mutual plc, Huawei South Africa. AfricaCom annually attracts more than 13, 000 people and 450 exhibitors, over 400 experts. The intensive business program of AfricaCom includes such sections as IoT, Big Data, Telecom, Mobile Finance and others. The delegation from Russia took part in the exhibition thanks to the support of the Russian Export Center.

During the exhibition, the Namibia-South Africa Business Mission took place. Within the extended business program of the business mission, the participants visited the capitals of Namibia and South Africa, which hosted business meetings between Russian companies and representatives of local businesses. Russian exhibitors also met with the Consul General of the Russian Federation, a large system integrator and investment companies of Cape Town.
