Tesla’s factory in Fremont, California, has been sabotaged by an employee. The company detected the malicious insider activity about two weeks ago with the help of IT department and information security team thanks to which the production could be successfully resumed a few hours later that day.
This is the factory where more than 10,000 people are employed to construct Tesla’s Model S, Model X, Model 3 and Model Y vehicles.
All the workers were informed by email about the incident. The former employee tried to hide the evidence of his wrongdoings, shattered his computer but after admitted to have partly sabotaged the factory.
