Law firm exposes Google staffers' data
27.10.2020

Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, the law firm is focused on immigrant employees and ensures their legal presence at the workplace in accordance with immigration rules – provides businesses and organisations with employment screening and verification. Google is among their clients – the company has been recently affected by the law firm’s data breach. Google employees got their personal details compromised, as Form I-9 files stored for every employee in the U.S. comprise a lot of confidential data, such as ID cards, passports and driver’s licenses.

It hasn’t been reported how many Google staffers had been breached and what information had been exposed which is important as companies where more than 500 Californians are employed have to submit a notice with the state’s attorney general’s office.
