Tokyo 2020 visitors’ personal data got breached. Ticket holders and event volunteers were affected, though the government insists that the data breach wasn’t excessive.

The credentials which were leaked could be exploited for accessing volunteers’ and ticket holders’ account on websites and obtaining even more confidential data.

220 white hat hackers have been instructed this year in Japan developed by Japan’s National Institute of Information and Communications Technology within a specific security training programme.
