SearchInform, Russian developer of information security systems, has announced that integration of the SearchInform DLP system with Astra Linux OS was accomplished.
Existing and potential clients of SearchInform showed interest in supporting UNIX-like systems long ago. The reason is the policy of import substitution and change-over to the operating systems with open source.
“SearchInform DLP is the first Russian DLP system, certified on compatibility with the OS Astra Linux Special Edition on the Software Ready for Astra Linux program. The program is developed to support software vendors. It also enables consumers to receive a product that operates consistently on a commercially available home-produced secure OS,” said Dmitry Donskoy, deputy director of the Development Centre of AO NPO RusBITeh.
SearchInform and NPO RusBITeh signed a cooperation agreement in April 2016. This partnership results not only in mutual consulting and products testing but in marketing activities as well. At the ARMY 2016 international military-technical forum, held on 6-11 September in Kubinka, SearchInform and NPO RusBITeh presented the partnership results – the SearchInform DLP integrated with the OS Astra Linux .
“From 2017, paramilitary and government institutions will gradually switch to home-produced software. It is natural that our partner NPO RusBITeh and we are actively working in this direction. We plan to further develop our cooperation, which is already yielding positive results,” said Technical Director of SearchInform Ivan Mershkov.
