21.03.2017
On 14 March, Buenos Aires hosted The SEGURINFO Argentina 2017 exhibition and conference. The event has been held since 2005 and is aimed at sharing experience and discussing topical issues in the field of information security. The conference gathered local and international companies, representatives of government and scientific institutions, non-profit organizations, as well as independent experts. CEO of SearchInform took part in the event with the assistance of Aleksey Chigiryov, representative of the Russian export center in Argentina.
“SEGURINFO Argentina 2017 is a landmark event in the IT community in Argentina. Participation in this event will allow Russian companies to get acquainted with key players in this industry and establish necessary contacts with partners and potential customers," said Aleksey Chigiryov.
In the form of the reports experts and participants discussed: Internet of things (IoT), DDoS attacks, blockchain technologies, human factor in information security and other topical issues. But the main purpose of the conference, which is establishing contacts between customers and vendors, was accomplished through personal conversations and informal communication.
"The Argentinean market is currently of interest not only to Russian vendors. All world companies rushed to the country after export restrictions had been lifted. Now, there is a unique "window of opportunity" for imported goods in the Argentine market and, of course, we don't want to miss the chance to present our software to local customers. The Russian export center supports Russian manufacturers: it holds negotiations with potential partners, consults on a wide range of practical issues in the host country, and accompanies export projects. This is exactly that kind of assistance which is most needed when entering new markets," says Sergei Ozhegov, CEO of SearchInform.
