SearchInform CEO took part in the business meeting with the Myanmar Minister of Energy Myo Myint Oo. The event was organized by the Technological Sovereignty Exports Association.
The participants discussed current information security threats. Special attention was paid to the incidents, which occur due to insiders’ actions. Sergey Ozhegov presented tools, which help to manage internal risks – prevent data leak incidents occurrence, fraud, suspicious activities by the team members etc. Risk Monitor, DCAP tool FileAuditor and the real-time information security event management system SearchInform SIEM were presented during the conference.
“Energy companies usually refer to the critical infrastructure. Large troves of valuable and sensitive data are kept and processed within their infrastructure.
Such data loss can result into disruption of business processes and affect companies’ business activities.
That is why I am glad that the Ministry representatives are willing to discuss information security issues. During the meeting we have covered issues relating to protection against internal risks. Solutions, which prevent threats, occurring due to insiders’ actions were presented. Such conferences help to strengthen our positions on the South-East Asia markets, and the sales dynamics of our solutions’ in Asia are positive”, told Sergey Ozhegov, SearchInform CEO.
This was the first time SearchInform staff presented company’s protective tools in Myanmar. In the nearest future, more meetings with business and local authorities representatives will take place.
