Huawei and SearchInform have presented an integrated solution OceanStor + FileAuditor - additional security options are now available for all storage systems from a global developer. Now information can be categorized by content in the storage system, all operations with sensitive files can be tracked, access to them controlled and critical copies archived.
The OceanStor line includes more than a dozen solutions for secured storage and ultra-fast data processing in corporate IT infrastructure. They are suitable for both selective backup of information from critical systems and for full-fledged workflow processing, as well as for working with big data. Thanks to the integration with FileAuditor, you can automatically identify the most vulnerable (personal data, trade secrets, log files, etc.) information in any data array inside the storage system, categorize them and flexibly configure control over their life cycle. Storage operators will have a complete picture of what is happening with the files, and the most important incidents - the appearance of new critical data, edits, deletion of documents, changes in access rights, etc. - FileAuditor will notify a specialist automatically in accordance with the specified security policies.
“Huawei OceanStor series storage systems are very popular with our customers. In order to minimise the constantly growing risks in the field of information security, together with our partner, SearchInform, we have developed a comprehensive solution,” comments Wang Qian, Head of Storage Systems, Huawei Enterprise in Russia. "It will enable our customers to improve the reliability and cost-effectiveness of storing, managing and processing their data."
“The integration of OceanStor and FileAuditor gives the user a turnkey solution to keep data organised and secure. It is especially important that protection extends not only to data inside the storage system, but also when third-party applications interact with it. For example, FileAuditor will allow you to prohibit opening documents from the OceanStor repository in text editors or sending them via email or instant messengers. It turns out that security incidents can be prevented in advance, the risk of data loss is minimised - this is what customers expect, - says Sergey Ozhegov, CEO of SearchInform. "Today's result is the result of a beneficial collaboration, and we expect that our cooperation with Huawei continues to develop: there are many plans ahead of how to make FileAuditor even more convenient for OceanStor storage users."
SearchInform FileAuditor is a fully functional Russian DCAP type system (data-centric audit and protection). It provides search, data classification, detection of any change in the file system, management of access rights and blocking unwanted actions with files (reading, editing, transferring) via any application.
The solution is available as an additional option for the implementation of all OceanStor storage systems. Together, the products guarantee technological independence and stability of processes - both solutions were developed by vendors independently without borrowing hardware or software components.
