SearchInform has expanded its data control capabilities for corporate cloud environments.

The company’s DCAP solution, FileAuditor, now supports detailed auditing of operations involving shared files and folders in Microsoft 365. The update strengthens data protection and provides information security teams with complete visibility into all user activities related to shared documents.

Previously, as part of its Microsoft 365 integration, FileAuditor enabled scanning of user account data and auditing of mail servers and file storage across services such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint. The new release extends these capabilities by adding in-depth analytics of actions performed on shared files — a critical component of modern corporate collaboration workflows. FileAuditor search results and reports now display a detailed record of file operations extracted from Microsoft 365 activity logs.

FileAuditor now records every access event and reconstructs a file’s entire history — identifying who granted permissions, when, and to whom — while highlighting potentially suspicious actions.”

The system records not only basic file operations such as creation, reading, and deletion, but also all permission management activities, including the granting, modification, and revocation of access rights. This provides a comprehensive view of a document’s lifecycle within the corporate environment and helps prevent data exposure through legitimate collaboration channels.

The enhanced integration with Microsoft 365 reflects FileAuditor’s strategic focus on supporting integrations with modern business platforms.
