SearchInform's next-gen DLP, Risk Monitor, and FileAuditor DCAP solution now leverage AI-powered image content recognition without OCR, enabling instant analysis that significantly accelerates the response of information security policies and access blocking.
SearchInform has upgraded its analytical engine, integrating a built-in neural network into its DLP and DCAP systems to enhance content classification. This advanced AI capability enables precise recognition of images within corporate storages and traffic transmitted across various data channels.
The system's neural network detects images that resemble standard forms, such as photographs or scans of passports and bank cards, and automatically classifies them without OCR or text analysis, accelerating response of security policies and document search. It also facilitates blocking of access to data at rest (within FileAuditor) and data in motion when sent, recorded on media, uploaded to cloud storages, and printed (within Risk Monitor).
The AI classification feature integrated into the DLP and DCAP analytical engine is available out of the box without any extra purchases or complex setup – just enable it via the program administration console and set the threshold for image similarity to the predefined templates.
"We are increasing the use of artificial intelligence inthe products because it expands their capabilities and makes them more convenient for information security specialists. The machine is trained on the developer's resources, which reduces the load on the customer's infrastructure. Companies receive a ready-made tool that is easy to customize," stated Sergio Bertoni, the Leading Analyst at SearchInform.
He also explained, “Neural networks operate like the human eye – they recognize what is in front of them literally at first glance, while traditional algorithms require multi-stage complex analysis. For instance, DLP and DCAP systems previously needed to extract text and compare formats to identify passport scans, but now they can recognize the content instantly, even in poor-quality images with unrecognizable text.”
Neural networks in SearchInform products have proven effective for various tasks, such as using visual input to identify strangers at employees' computers and attempts to take photos of screens using smartphones. Risk Monitor and FileAuditor also automatically detect seals and stamps on documents. Both systems have an AI-based automatic speech recognition (ASR) engine to recognize text in audio files.
