Honda has got breached exposing a massive amount of personal data for the second time since August.
The cluster on Elasticsearch containing 976 millions of records belonging to vehicle owners appeared to be unprotected during more than a week.
Honda claims that about 26,000 is the actual number of customer records which have been exposed and could be easily accessed via a web browser.
The company took measures promptly after being notified about the breach.
There were names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, vehicle models and VIN numbers, agreement IDs and more details were among the leaked data.
