An illicit hacker forum user claimed having a data set containing 19.444 unique recordings, stolen from Activision.

According to the intruder, the data set contains the following data on employees:

•    Full names
•    Job position
•    Location
•    Email adresses

The data stolen was allegedly retrieved from the Activision’s Azure database. Earlier, Activision officials admitted that in December 2022 cybercriminals tricked the game developer employee with the help of Smishing (SMS-phishing) technique and managed to obtain   the employee’s credentials. However, Activision officials then claimed that no data on gamers or source code was obtained by the intruders.
