Large troves of tech giants’ data leaked

The first one is ACER company case. Although the investigation is currently in progress, some details are known yet.
As it was reported, an intruder illicitly gained access to the company’s server with documents. Supposedly, the 160 GB of data stolen from Acer contained 2689 files. Preliminary, no data on users was kept on the hacked server. According to the hacker, the stolen data contained:
• Confidential files and presentations
• ISO files
• Data on internal infrastructure
• Digital keys etc.
A bit later on a data leak forum there was a post published, the author claimed hacking technology company Acronis International.
As a result of the incident, about 12GB of data was exposed. The leaked data trove contained:
• Certificate files
• System’s configuration
• Command logs
• File system archives
• Backup archives
• Snapshots of backup operations etc.
