SearchInform expands in Southeast Asia with new Jakarta office

18.09.2026

On September 15, SearchInform held the Grand Opening of its office in Jakarta. The official ceremony brought together more than 80 experts from across all the country. Attendees included representatives of leading Indonesian system integrators, technology partners, managed security service providers, and enterprise customers, including NEC, Berca, Abhinawa, Visionet, Xquisite etc.

SearchInform, an international provider of information security solutions, is strengthening its presence in Southeast Asia to help local organizations improve data protection and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The company’s portfolio includes DLP, DCAP, and SIEM systems, as well as a Next-Gen DLP solution with an integrated AI Assistant.

In his welcome speech, SearchInform Founder Lev Matveev emphasized that establishing a permanent presence in Indonesia is an important part of the company’s long-term development in Southeast Asia:

Indonesia’s digital economy is developing rapidly, making corporate data increasingly valuable and more exposed to leakage, misuse and other internal risks. The growing use of AI tools also creates new risks. Our presence in Jakarta will allow us to provide not only software, but also continuous support to partners and customers at every stage, from consulting and testing to implementation and everyday use. We also plan to develop our local presence through industry events, partner PR support, and regular trainings for information security professionals.”

The program continued with a presentation by Mairi Herman, Country Director for Indonesia, focused on SearchInform’s approach to protecting corporate data from insider risks. He introduced the company’s solutions and partnership model. Mr. Herman discussed how Indonesian partners can use SearchInform technologies to strengthen data protection, support regulatory compliance and address local organisations’ security needs. This focus is becoming increasingly relevant as Indonesia’s security landscape grows more complex, with organisations facing not only external cyberattacks but also risks arising from access to and misuse of sensitive data within the business.

SearchInform’s strategic partners also shared their vision of the situation.

Overall, the event definitely met our expectations. We saw strong interest from the market and had some very positive discussions with potential customers.

The demand for cybersecurity and data protection solutions in Indonesia is definitely growing. The implementation of the Personal Data Protection Law, or UU PDP, is encouraging organizations to take data protection more seriously, not only from a compliance perspective, but also from an operational and security perspective.

Organizations now need better visibility and control over how sensitive and personal data is accessed, used, shared, and protected. This is where we see strong relevance for SearchInform, particularly in areas such as data leakage prevention, insider risk, and employee activity monitoring.

So, we believe the opportunity will continue to grow as organizations move beyond simply understanding the regulations and start implementing practical measures to better protect their data. For us, the next step is really about turning the interest we saw at the event into concrete opportunities and projects” – told Mr. Christian Perdana, Business Development Manager of Pt Nalela Karya Persada.

At the end of the program, SearchInform held individual discussions with potential partners. More than 50 companies expressed their readiness to integrate SearchInform solutions into their cybersecurity portfolios and begin pilot deployments with key customers.

Jakarta office marks another step in SearchInform’s continued expansion across Southeast Asia, after this summer openings in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
