“SearchInform DLP” is now able to solve two critical business tasks: detect monitor photographing attempts and recognize user’s face.

Function of detection of monitor photographing attempts and function of users recognition by faces were added in the new release of “SearchInform DLP” special functions. Basing on control photoshoots, taken by the web-camera, system concludes, that user pointed a smartphone with camera at the PC monitor. DLP-system module “MonitorController” collects data about web-sites and processes, which were active at the moment of photographing. This means, that in case of necessity it’s possible to obtain all information about employee’s activity at the time of data collection. Due to another update – adding of face recognition function system is now able to identify, who exactly was using the PC at the moment of potential violation. In order to do it, “SearchInform DLP” compares user’s photo with photos from employees photos database, which is stored in Active Directory. If someone else logges into the account, than information security specialist will receive an incident notification. The programme provides an opportunity to find out, who used someone else’s PC, as well as date and time of incident. Next, with the help of detailed analysis, it’s possible to trace all activities, performed by user.
In future it will be possible to implement the possibility to block access to the account in case user, inputting login and password, is not identified as account owner by the face recognition system.
"Due to analysis of interception with implementation of methods of machine learning “SearchInform DLP” now controls the leak channel, which has been the blind spot of most part of DLP-systems. Now system is able to deal with this problem automatically. Mixture of this functional with the function of face recognition is a long-awaited option, because data from DLP-system about the real perpetrator may be proof in court in cases on illegal access or disclosure of confidential information.", — comments Alex Parfentiev, the Leading analyst at SearchInform.
